 GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MEMBERSHIP OF THE LM CLUB DENMARK

 

Who can become a member of the LM Club, Denmark?

Anyone over the age of 18 who owns or is a co-owner of an LM boat can become an active member of the LM Club, Denmark.

Anyone over the age of 18 who does not own an LM boat can become a passive member of the LM Club, Denmark

 

When will my membership of the LM Club, Denmark end?

A membership of the LM Club follows the Calendar year.

An active membership ends at the end of the year if you no longer own an LM boat. You can continue with a passive membership. Read more about “Become a member of the LM Club” or contact the Club Cashier.  

In December, you will be informed that it is time to renew your membership.

You will receive an E-Mail from UNIOO at the turn of the year that the time has come to renew your membership. If you do nothing, your membership of the Club will automatically be renewed in January, and you will then be charged your subscription to the LM Club and an administration fee for UNIOO on your payment card. If the club does not receive your payment, you will receive reminder E-mails. If the club then does not receive your payment, access to the website and membership will crease shortly afterwards.

 

What categories of membership can I choose to have?

Membership of the LM Club, Denmark is divided into the following categories:

1. An active personal membership.
   Membership is personal and cannot be shared.
2. Active family membership.
   Membership can be shared by two spouses and couples in a relationship.
3. A passive membership. Membership is personal and cannot be shared.

I am boat owner and would like to actively participate in the club’s activities. Which membership should I sign up for?

You should sign up for an active personal membership, which entitles you to participate in all club activities. You can vote at the general meeting and be elected to the club’s board.

I am a boat owner and would like to actively participate in the club’s activities with my spouse or partner. Which membership should I sign up for?

You should sign up for an active family membership. With an active family membership, you will be assigned a membership number, which is shared by two named people who are in a relationship. Both named persons are equal members of the LM Club, Denmark.

My wife and I do not have a boat yet. We are looking for all the information about the LM boats that we can get. Which membership should we sign up for?

You should sign up for a passive membership. You will have access to the most comprehensive information about the LM boats available and which you find in the LM Club, Denmark’s library. When you buy your LM dream boat, you are encouraged to change status to an active membership of the club.

Is the website’s content translated into more languages ​​than Danish?

The content of the website is in Danish. However, there are a few articles and advertisements in other languages ​​in the library.

As an active member, can I participate in the club’s activities even if I do not live in Denmark?

Yes. As a member residing outside Denmark, you have the same rights as Danish members.

Does LM Klubben, Denmark also speak and correspond in a foreign language?

LM Klubben, Denmark is Danish. We speak Danish and correspond with all members in Danish.

I AM A BOAT OWNER AND WANT TO GET AN ACTIVE PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP.

Who can sign up for an active personal membership?

Active personal membership is personal and can be signed by anyone over the age of 18, who owns or is a co-owner of an LM Boat and who otherwise acknowledges the club’s purpose and articles of association.

Can I share my membership and login with a friend?

No. Membership is personal. You cannot and must not share your membership and login with other people.

Can I share my login with a friend that I share the boat with?

No. With an active personal membership, you cannot share your login or membership with others. If you own the boat with a friend, your friend must also sign up for a membership to obtain the same rights. You must send the LM Club Cassier an E-Mail with information about your and co-owner’s membership number, his name and the name of the boat so we can keep our membership lists correct and up to date.

Do I receive a club burgee for the boat?

Yes. With an active personal membership, you will receive a club burgee at registration and then a new club burgee every three years. However, foreign members must pay for shipping themselves.

Can I freely use and copy the website’s information, drawings, etc. for my own use?

Yes. As a member, you are free to use the club’s information for your own private use.

Can I attend the club general meeting and vote?

Yes. With an active personal membership of the club, you can attend the general meeting, have the right to vote and can be elected to the club’s board.

Can I attend club events?

Yes. With an active personal membership of the club, you can participate in all the club’s events.

Can I include guests for club events?

No. The club’s events are for members. It is not possible to include adult guests without this being specifically mentioned in the invitation.

Can I bring my children or grandchildren to club events?

Yes. With an active personal membership, you can bring your children or grandchildren under the age of 18 to the club’s events.

Can I buy club goods in the web shop?

Yes. As a member of the club, you can buy items that can be found in the web shop. The items are not sold to anyone other than members.

WE ARE BOAT OWNERS AND WANT TO GET AN ACTIVE FAMILY MEMBERSHIP

Who can sign up for an active family membership?

An active family membership can be signed and shared by two spouses or partners in a relationship, and otherwise acknowledge the club’s purposes and articles of association.

Who signs up for membership?

With an active family membership, both are equal members. For the membership to be valid, it is required that the LM Club Denmark has the names of both persons.

Can I share the membership with a friend?

No. You cannot share a family membership with a friend without being in a relationship.

Can we share our login with a friend?

No. A membership and login may not be shared with anyone other than the persons who have been assigned it.

Can we share the membership with another couple with whom we own the boat together?

No. An active family membership cannot be shared with others. Where two couples jointly own a boat, both couples must sign an active family membership of the club to obtain the same rights.

Do we receive club burgee for the boat?

Yes. With an active family membership, you will receive one club burgee for the boat upon registration, and then one new club burgee every three years. However, foreign members must pay for shipping themselves.

I WANT TO GET AN PERSONAL PASSIVE MEMBERSHIP

Who can I sign a passive membership of the LM Club?

A passive membership of the club can be signed by any person over the age of 18 who acknowledges the club’s purpose and articles of association.

Can I share my membership and login with a friend?

No. A membership is personal, and membership and login may not be shared with others.

Can I freely use and copy the website’s information for my own use?

Yes. The website’s information can be freely used and copied for your own private use.

Can I attend the general meeting of the club?

No. You can’t attend the club’s general meeting,

Can I attend club events?

You can attend all club events If passive members are invited.

Can I include guests for club events?

No. The club’s events are for members.

Do I receive a club burgee?

No. You are a passive member without having a boat. Therefore, you do not receive a club burgee.

Can I buy club burgee and other club items in the web shop?

Yes. You can buy items that are advertised on the club’s web shop. The items are only sold to club members.

What do I do when I have purchased an LM boat?

Once you have purchased an LM boat, you are encouraged to change member status from a passive membership to an active membership to obtain the same rights and benefits as active members.

I HAVE A PASSIVE MEMBERSHIP AND WANT AN ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP 

You can upgrade your passive membership to a personal active membership. Your upgrade is free. You will get a free club flag to your boat.

You can also upgrade your passives membership to an active family membership. Your upgrade difference cost DKK 50 and you will get a free club flag to your boat.

You must remember to inform the club of your membership number, with whom you will share the family membership, the boat’s name, type and home port. The LM Club’s cashier will make necessary updates to your information as soon as possible.

HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO THE CLOSSED SECTION ON THE WEBSITE 

Access to LM Club website requires Membership taken out via the Member-Portal Unioo.

Once you have filled in the registration form on the member-portal at Unioo and paid the membership fee, you will in 4-8 hours receive a welcome letter with instructions to create your personal login to the LM Club, Denmark’s closed member pages.
